Isabelle Owston is a senior lawyer in business immigration at Galileo Partners in Montreal. A member of the Barreau du Québec since 2014, she brings over 10 years of experience in business immigration law and advises employers across all sectors of the economy on all aspects of immigration to Canada and Quebec; including work permits; Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs) and international mobility strategies. Recognized within the firm as a subject matter expert; she is regularly consulted by fellow lawyers on complex files and ambiguous legal situations. She also plays a central role on Galileo Partners’ knowledge management team; where she is responsible for producing and delivering the firm’s internal monthly legal update.
Holding a Bachelor of Laws from Université de Sherbrooke (LL.B., 2012); a Juris Doctor from Queen’s University (J.D., 2015) and a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School (LL.M., 2016); Isabelle Owston brings an exceptional academic foundation to her practice in business immigration law. She is consulted by Galileo’s lawyers on files involving complex legal issues or situations that fall outside standard procedural frameworks; and actively contributes to the quality and consistency of services delivered across the firm’s entire client portfolio. She is also responsible for the firm’s internal legal monitoring and coordinates the production of the monthly legal update distributed to the team; ensuring that all members of the firm remain current with the latest developments in Canadian immigration law.
