Walyd Mekki-Berrada is a business immigration lawyer at Galileo Partners in Montreal; where he has practiced since July 2025. A member of the Barreau du Québec since 2025; alongside the legal team he advises Canadian and international employers on all aspects of immigration to Canada and Quebec; including work permits; Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs) and Quebec temporary and permanent immigration programs. His background in business law; developed at a major Montreal commercial law firm prior to joining Galileo; gives him a strong understanding of the legal and operational realities of the companies he supports in international mobility matters.
Holding a Bachelor of Laws from Université Laval (LL.B.; 2023); Walyd Mekki-Berrada also completed an exchange semester in law at the University of Essex (United Kingdom); an international experience that enriches his legal perspective on files involving individuals from multiple jurisdictions. Admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 2025 following his graduation from the École du Barreau; he gained solid experience in business law at a major national firm; where he contributed to corporate and mergers and acquisitions mandates.
