While all professionals in the office are committed to keeping up to date with the constant changes in immigration law, Joanie acts as a front-line resource for our legal teams on the new rules communicated by government authorities in immigration law. She also assists clients for them to meet their specific needs through complex immigration applications. Joanie’s contribution therefore allows Galileo to stay on the lookout for the latest norms, rules and particularities of immigration law.
Prior to joining Galileo, Joanie acted as legal advisor for the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI). Afterwards, she worked in an internationally established law firm in a team exclusively dedicated to business immigration. Joanie thus makes her expertise available to Galileo’s clients in order to ultimately offer them an appropriate, efficient and optimal solution.
Joanie holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (L.L.B) from the Université de Sherbrooke. She received the award Best Lawyers – One to Watch (since 2023), a recognition given to lawyers who are early in their career for their outstanding professional excellence.
